i know this is kind of lame, but whatever....
since the day i went to Malacca for the 2nd time to do the projects, i'm so addicted to know about the history of it. like sejarah Hang Tuah and friends. therefore, in tune to find some knowledge for my project and for my ownself, i search for it. thanks Internet. =)
somehow, for the Malays, we know about the history of Hang Tuah and Friends known as Hang Jebat, Hang Lekir, Hang Lekiu and Hang Kasturi right? & the one which they say Hang Tuah killed Hang Jebat all because of his blind loyalty to the Sultan. and by which Hang Jebat was revolted against the Sultan all because of his deep loyalty towards a friend, Hang Tuah. basically the story goes saying that Hang tuah was accused of adultery with one of his sultan's maids by his jealous rivals. Sultan get to know about it and ordered Hang Tuah to be killed without any investigation. Hang Tuah was secretly saved by the Bendahara. Hang Jebat whom eventually get to know that Hang Tuah was killed, starts to revolts against the Sultan and starts killing innocent people to show his rebellion. the Sultan's forces were unable to suppress Hang Jebat. From there, Sultan realised that only Hang Tuah can help him to defeat Hang Jebat and regret what he did to Hang Tuah. then, came Bendahara saying that Hang Tuah is not dead. so, Hang Tuahwas immediately recalled and given amnesty. After seven days of fighting, Hang Tuah managed to kill Hang Jebat.

i'm just curious to know "who's the real Hero?". Some say Hang Jebat, some say Hang Tuah. hmm, from my p0int of view, i think Hang Jebat is the real Hero. why? all because of his deep loyalty towards a friend which was killed innocently. but at last, he was killed by his own friend which he stand up for during those days. and Hang Tuah? he was being so asdfgh to be so loyal towards Sultan. "Hang Tuah is a symbol of absolute loyalty to a ruler while Hang Jebat symbolizes truth and justice. Hence, there is the question of who is right." hhmmm, whatever it is, its up to individual.
& just yesterday, i found another information on this. they say that Hang Tuah and Friends exclude Hang Kasturi are Chinese. i mean Chinese Muslim from China. they came together with Putri Hang Li Poh during their mission to protect the Malays from the Siamese. and they are namely as Hang Too Ah, Hang Jee Fat, Hang Lee Kiew and Hang Lee Ker. they couldn't find any information on Hang Kasturi as because Kasturi is a Malay word and was also said that Hang Kasturi was the only Malay within the Friends. the name 'HANG' was given to Kasturi so as to give a united feeling within the Friends. and 'HANG' was actually their surname during the Ming Dynasty. but it was written in some other sources that the name 'HANG' which was given to Li Poh was from the Sultan becuase she married the Sultan.

hmmm, well what do you think? if they are really Chinese, why Hang Tuah says, "takkan Melayu hilang di dunia." but if they are Malay, then how can we explain about the history studies on this and why is the History of Malay was taken off from the schools subject in Malaysia? BUT the thing was, this Historian says that they found the graveyard of Hang Tuah & Friends, and their sekeleton had been analise and samples of DNA had shown that they are Chinese. ok fine, BUT didn't they say that Hang Tuah went MIA when he can't fulfilled the Sultan wish to marry Putri Gunung Ledang? therefore he flung his keris into a river and vowed only to return to Melaka if it resurfaced, which it never did. It was also said that he then vanished into thin air. so, how could they do a DNA test on his body when actually NO one know where he is?
and do you know that, some says it was Hang Kasturi who fought with Hang Tuah, not Hang Jebat? and others says that though it is generally perceived that there were five friends, there is doubt that Hang Lekir and Hang Lekiu are indeed two different persons. and do you know that during those time, most of the Sultan is a womaniser? hmm...
ishh..ishh..ishh... complicated kan? but Fun kan to know anout all this. how i wished i have this dream whereby someone bring me there to show the real story that happen. and how i wished i was born during those times to encounter all this. damn! i just LOVE history man. it makes me THINK. haha. i still want to find more information on all this.
now, now.. i SO want to watch the Hang Tuah cds. anyone have it?...Labels: =))))
